Title Manager, Compliance Investigations

Job Description PURPOSE:
Lead and participate in activities related to investigating, and assist as needed with monitoring and auditing company and employee adherence to Novo Nordisk policies and guidelines and other laws and regulations to ensure corporate compliance. Personally assists with initiatives that help raise awareness of Compliance Program requirements as identified through compliance investigations.
RELATIONSHIPS:
This position takes direction from the Sr. Manager of Compliance Investigations. Interacts daily with other Compliance staff. Works collaboratively with counterparts in other Novo Nordisk business areas and functionally-related departments, especially Human Resources. Establishes and maintains external relationships with outside counsel and industry peers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Independently conducts internal investigations of alleged compliance policy violations to ensure that allegations are promptly, thoroughly and objectively addressed in accordance with company expectations for managing investigations.
• Assures that investigation documentation is collected and maintained in the incident management database and that investigation reports are completed within a timely manner following an investigation.
• Manage Compliance Hotline communication process between Compliance, Human Resources and reporters.
• Lead case study development process and act as liaison between Compliance Investigations and Compliance Training.
• Conduct Field Ride observations required under Corporate Integrity Agreement.
• Manage remedial activities for items identified during Corporate Integrity Agreement records reviews.
• Collaborate with Novo Nordisk colleagues in other departments as appropriate.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the laws and regulations related to the pharmaceutical industry and specifically, those that impact NNI.
• Handle sensitive information and exercise discretion.
• Interface and collaborate effectively with Human Resources, Legal, Finance, NNAS Group Internal Audit and other relevant departments as required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Approximately 10% overnight travel

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
• A minimum of 8+ years overall experience required
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and organization skills are required.
• J.D. or investigations experience preferred
• Must be able to present data in an efficient and logical format.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
• The ability to partner and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
• The ability to respond to competing priorities across the department and manage several projects (investigations) simultaneously
• The ability to think objectively and use sound reasoning principles.
• The ability to work proactively and independently with minimal supervision.
