Job Description PURPOSE:
This position ensures superior Learning Management System (LMS) support, administration and consultation within the organization. The person in this role serves as the expert consultant and partner for learning technology based solutions to meet business objectives primarily for, but not limited to, Diabetes Sales Training. When developing solutions to meet business objectives, this individual applies Novo Nordisk (NNI) current practices/processes to maintain the system’s validation status.
RELATIONSHIPS:
This role reports to the Manager, Learning Technology Systems responsible for the LMS system. This role interacts with the Diabetes Sales Training organization, other organizations within NNI, internal course developers, vendors, external course developers, other Learning Technology Solutions colleagues and other key stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Serves as the primary liaison to Diabetes Sales Training to provide expert consultation for delivery of technology mediated learning solutions
• Develops learning technology based solutions to meet complex role and phased training needs
• Continually improves business results by appropriately questioning stakeholders to ensure learning objectives are met via the most efficient and effective learning technology solution(s)
• Acts as a business partner to maintain validation of LMS while maximizing business outcomes
• Responsible for LMS administrative functions within a validated environment such as:
o Overall LMS support for the coursework from Diabetes Sales training; this would include
responding to learner phone calls and e-mails regarding on-going LMS issues such as login and
password retrieval, archiving, course logistics, and any other end user issues across multiple
roles and phases of training
o Management of courses, including but not limited to; updating course properties, creating
courses and enrolling users using the wizard, template(s) and/or batch processes, course
utilities (i.e. import, export, archive, restore, etc), course configuration options, and course
catalog)
o Execution of User Account Maintenance, including but not limited to; create users, change
passwords, and customize information (system roles & permissions)
o Develops reports to meet customer needs and drive business results, and collaborates with
other areas to accomplish complex reporting requests
• Manages external vendor relationships to ensure the seamless integration of high quality vendor learning solutions with existing LMS capabilities
• Explores best practices for LMS delivery of content and provides consultation to better meet customer needs
• Manages execution of multiple LMS requests simultaneously for new courses and content testing process to meet business goals. Ensures established processes followed to maintain system validation
• Ensures proper maintenance and administration of learning management system for GxP validation status
• Contributes to other projects as assigned related to the development and maintenance of the LMS
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Approximately less than 10% overnight travel

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• Bachelor’s degree (relevant experience and/or certification in specialist HR function may be substituted for degree, when appropriate)
• Must have at least 3 years' LMS administration (Saba and/or validated LMS experience preferred)
• Must be a self-starter who requires minimal supervision
• Must have strong project and vendor management skills
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must have demonstrated ability to provide comprehensive customer support, guidance and recommendations, along with analytical and technical expertise
• Must have demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Must have ability to provide effective solutions in resolving complex problems, displaying a high level of critical thinking skills
• Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Must have familiarity with SCORM standards
• Must have experience providing technical end user support in a fast paced environment
