Job Description PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for assisting the Human Resources Information Technology (HRIT) function, which includes the design, installation, and rollout of various HRIT tools to support enterprise-wide HR-related data and system requirements. Ensures the integrity and governance of HRIT, including data interfaces, data integration and data security, and negotiates and liaises locally and globally to facilitate and synergize numerous HR processes with technology/data-based foundation.
RELATIONSHIPS:
This position reports to the Project Manager, HRIT. The position is accountable for assisting with multiple internal, external and corporate relationships including Novo Nordisk (NNI) on HRIT initiatives. Develops and maintains strong relationships with HR Business Partners and HR management throughout the organization. Would be a primary contact with HRIT consultants, external vendors, internal stakeholders and management, and HR Business Partners related to HRIT systems and initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Analyzes HRIT processes and data flows, and recommends and implements improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of HRIT solutions
• Determines and assists in the prioritization of strategic and operational requirements for HR reports and analytics (particularly the HR Data Hub) in consultation with appropriate HR personnel
• Develops business cases (planning, initiation, response to budget/plan changes, ad hoc planning requests and evaluations) to justify and reinforce HRIT needs
• Guides and trains HRIT system users to ensure broad-based system knowledge and minimize system support issues
• Manages and conducts all system and database administration activities for supported platforms
• Provides consultation and technical expertise to stakeholders in identifying all HR data and system needs and serves as the liaison with IT professionals locally and globally for communication and development of solutions
• Provides technical assistance/expertise for NNI HRIT-related systems and projects both locally and globally
• Researches and assists in the prioritization of HR Technology and prepares for long-term data and system needs
• Tests upgrades, patches and enhancements to HR systems to ensure systems are functioning properly according to system specifications and end user requirements
• Troubleshoots issues with HRIT data and systems, and recommends and executes solutions
• Acts as GlobeShare lead for the HR track, assists with adherence to the governance model, ensures quarterly reviews and reports analytics of GlobeShare activity
• Exercises judgment and technical expertise to prepare, communicate and execute recommendations to improve and support HR processes
• Assists with the design, installation, roll out and maintenance of various HRIT tools in support of HR processes
• Performs complex/advanced analyses of business goals, objectives and needs of the HR organization and creates functional and technical specifications and flowcharts to support them
• Plans the roll out of HR system enhancements and new systems to support HR initiatives, with minimal direction
• Provides consultation and partners with HR colleagues to finalize processes and identify requirements for new projects, as well as guide them through the RFI/RFP processes as needed
• Supports local and global projects by providing assistance during system design, testing, implementation and training phases
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Approximately 0-10% overnight travel

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• A Bachelor’s degree required; relevant experience and/or certification in specialized HR or IT function may be substituted for degree, when appropriate
• A minimum of 8 years’ experience working with HR systems, working with automated workflow tools, Internet and Intranet sites, and various systems
• Must have demonstrated success in managing cross functional projects
• Must have experience developing and implementing new HR processes combined with HRIT solutions, including support of and consultation with line of business stakeholders
• Experience in 2-3 HR disciplines (such as Compensation, Staffing, Organizational Development, or Generalist experience) preferred
