About the department
You will be working with +40 dedicated colleagues in Global Information & Analysis (GLIA) based in Denmark and the US and as part of the team Library Resource Management you will be responsible for the daily updating of our internal websites as well as data quality in the underlying databases.
The Job
Novo Nordisk’s researchers, who are dedicated to changing diabetes rely on access to updated information in order to be innovative and foster new knowledge. As an information scientist in GLIA you will be updating our future information interface (web content management) and data curation in our electronic resource management system ALMA. You will be selecting and presenting information targeted specific user groups. As a super user of ALMA you may also do system administration and data projects. We expect taxonomy projects and responsibility to be part of this work as well to make sure the right people can find the right information. Finally you will also be involved in library services such as our global information help desk and cross organizational projects.
Qualifications
You have experience in web content management and usability with a focus on content not technology. We expect that you have a background in library and information science certainly you know your way around a MARC record and understand how you can manipulate data in batch. You know the fundamentals and significance of conventional information disciplines such as classification and indexing and can apply these into metadata schemes and computerised solutions.Very strong language skills are essential in a global company and for involvement in taxonomy work. In this position we need a reliable, service minded and self-dependent person who thrives on getting the job done. You will need good communication and collaboration skills to get input for the web content from colleagues as well as end-users. Finally, your drive, high spirits and solid collaboration skills make you an asset for your team and GLIA in general.
