About the department
The Purchasing department is a part of Novo Nordisk’s central Supply Chain Management organization and is responsible for the main part of Direct Spend Purchase activities in Novo Nordisk Product Supply. The department consists of three operational purchasing and a support team “Purchasing Standard & Analysis”. The Purchasing Standard & Analysis team consists of 8 highly dedicate colleagues and aims at continuous improvement of the supply chain processes involving purchasing through development and anchoring of standard processes and solutions. To perform its activities the team collaborates closely with key internal stakeholders such as production planning, warehousing, quality control, quality assurance and central support functions.
The job
Your main responsibility will be to take on the key role as central SAP master data responsible and coach in the department. The operational purchasing teams are responsible for the daily purchase order generation, follow-up including master-data creation in SAP MM and for feeding the information record. Your role will be to develop and coordinate the processes for master data creation and maintenance of purchase of materials. As part of this role you will establish procedures which your colleagues need to follow in order to secure high master data integrity. Additionally, you will also contribute to maintaining master data on a daily basis yourself.
You will also act as coordinator for the department’s SAP super user group. This includes training the super-users, coordinating with them how and when to train end-users, developing user-guides, as well as supporting system updates by testing new functionalities prior to go-live.
Lastly, you will be a part of the SAP APO roll out project and will get the unique opportunity to contribute with your input regarding the upcoming implementation in the Sourcing department in 2014-2015.
Qualifications
You have an administrative, technical or academic background, You have at least 5 years of experience with the SAP Material Master, SAP ECC or SAP APO. It is an advantage if you have experience working with SAP in a supply chain function and are used to creating and maintaining master data related to the Purchasing, Shipping or Planning business processes
You enjoy taking on a support role, where you develop standards for and train your colleagues with an operational role, as well as get a chance to influence the business every day. A proven track record in establishing standards and procedures would be an asset.
As a person, you should have a strong analytical and quality mind-set, enabling you to spot and correct mistakes effectively. You have good communication skills enabling you to train others and transfer your knowledge to them. Additionally, you are a driven person, keen on taking initiatives and striving for continuous improvement in everything you do. Good communication skills in English are a prerequisite.
