About the department
You are part of Novo Nordisk’s production of insulin and will be situated in MDev. Our responsibilities are to improve existing processes and analysis methods, implement new analysis methods and processes for new products, support daily operation and manage complex optimization projects.
You will join analytical support in MDev and be part of the chemistry team which provide analytical and technical support, conduct projects concerning optimisation/validation of analysis and we deliver analytical answers to our customers. We are working with (U)HPLC, LC-MS and GC-MS.
The job
Your and the teams overall focus is to ensure that production runs smoothly and with as few stops as possible, where you personally contribute by delivering robust analytical methods. You will also be involved in problem solving, often characterised by a sense of urgency. Across your tasks you are expected to share your knowledge and help your colleagues and customers build a wider understanding of our analytical methods and techniques. This work includes also writing study reports, protocols, reports and analytical procedures.
In addition to collaborating within the team and with other colleagues in the department, you will be in contact with colleagues in e.g. the production and the QC laboratories, QA, development departments of analysis and regulatory affairs.
You will experience that there are many possibilities for influencing the development of the team, and that we focus on principals of LEAN and six sigma, which support the continuous development of your department and hereby the business of Novo Nordisk A/S.
Qualifications
You hold a scientific degree (e.g. Master of Science (cand. scient), engineer or pharmacist within chemistry, preferably supplemented with a Ph.D.). You have an analytical understanding and insight and also a strong protein chemistry profile, preferably combined with at least 3-5 years of hands-on experience of problem solving with HPLC methods. You are used to combine your knowledge of proteins and organic chemistry with statistical tools.
Having a solid experience, a drive and an urge to provide support such as analysis work and problem solving together with our customers will be essential qualifications. You are capable of very independently to prioritise the various tasks and ensure progress.
