- Graduate
- Denmark - Søborg

Join the Novo Nordisk Global Development Graduate Programme and get a life-changing career.

If you are ready to discover just how far your talent can take you, we invite you to explore our Global Development Graduate Programme. Global Development employs more than 800 people across a number of different project and functional areas in Denmark and internationally. In Global Development we are responsible for developing new products from the early clinical phases through to market authorisation. Our graduate programme is a solid platform for a unique opportunity for getting your university degree off to a great start.

Scope of the programme
The two-year programme will consist of three rotations in different parts of the Novo Nordisk organisation whilst anchored in the Biostatistics skill area within Global Development. One of the rotations will take place outside of Denmark in one of our affiliates giving you invaluable exposure to our global biostatistics organisation. The aim of the Biostatistics Graduate Programme is to develop people through extensive practical statistical work with a strong focus on competencies such as analytical skills, communication, and project management skills.

You will be given a broad range of responsibilities and experience a variety of projects from cross-departmental project work and internal/external stakeholder management and have assignments within pre-submission, submission and lifecycle management.

Whilst taking on a broad variety of responsibilities, you will enjoy the privilege of being part of both formal and informal graduate networks. This will allow you to broaden your learning even further, while building your opportunities and relationships across the company.

The job
The Biostatistics Graduate Programme is tailored to ensure your full personal and professional development, accelerated by prioritised training and dedicated coaching from experienced colleagues.

The programme comprises three 8-month rotations during a two-year period between Biostatistics in Copenhagen or Aalborg, a Biostatistics department in a non-headquarter office (USA or India), and possibly one area outside Biostatistics.

As Biostatistics Graduate you will during your first rotation get an introduction to the Biostatistics areas of responsibilities and at least one of our key projects, and you will gain hands-on experience. For example you will take part in analysing and reporting one of our clinical trials or you will be involved in the design of new clinical trials.

During second rotation you will be further exposed to application of biostatistics in the pharmaceutical industry and you will get a unique international perspective that should prove invaluable as new markets continue to evolve for Novo Nordisk.

The third rotation will take place in either Biostatistics HQ or a department with ties to Biostatistics. Possible areas could for instance be Data Management, Trial Management, or Medical Affairs. This will help build your network and showcase the importance of biostatistics within other areas in drug development and drug commercialisation.

Qualifications
To join the Global Development Graduate Programme as a Biostatistics Graduate you must hold a recent master’s degree in statistics and have no more than 1 year of work experience since finishing your studies.

You are independent, flexible and efficient with a ‘can-do’ attitude. You have a solid academic background, a high level of understanding of practical statistical problems, and the ability to solve tasks on short notice. Working at the cutting-edge of a highly complex and innovative industry, you must be able to learn fast, excel at cross-functional collaboration and communicate your great ideas well.

You must be prepared to invest significant personal effort in meeting expectations and proactively take ownership of your areas of responsibility. You are a top M.Sc. graduate with an international profile and a passion for learning. Finally, the strongest candidates have relevant work experience obtained while studying and a desire to work in the pharmaceutical industry.
