Enterprise Applications Manager
- IT
- Denmark - Søborg
Are you a trained Project Manager with far-reaching experience managing IT applications? If yes, this could be a grand opportunity for you to pursue your ambitious goals. Join Novo Nordisk Product Supply IT on our exciting journey towards centralisation and standardisation of business critical applications used at our production facilities.
About the department
PS IT – Application Management is a newly formed business unit with the overall objective of being accountable for the application landscape in Product Supply by setting the direction, securing cost-competitive maintenance and strong business value alignment of 2,000 applications by 2017. Beyond that, we are responsible for application management of selected applications used globally across Product Supply.
The Job
Your mission is to define an operating model for application management addressing how to source the different application-related processes used. In addition, you identify costs associated in order to benchmark against peers, and you assess improvements that increase business value from the applications. And during this important period of defining the to-be application landscape you will construct business cases and presentations to align expectations of key stakeholders. Your work will lead to standardisation of our processes and result in an increased quality and sustainable compliance level. Upon successful sourcing approach you will secure transfer of responsibility to the appointed responsible partner for the day-to-day operation. At that time, you and your colleagues will switch to the supervisory role monitoring the applications making sure they are in steady-state and satisfactory operation and meet the agreed KPIs.
This job will open the door to a unique possibility for you to shape the function, as long as you follow the strategy and meet the KPIs. Your new role is of great importance in management terms, and you can look forward to interacting with external suppliers and stakeholders on a world-wide basis.
Qualifications
You hold a Master’s degree within software engineering, economics, computer science, business administration or have a comparable background. On top of that, you have at least 5 years’ experience with IT operational processes and governance structures in a large organisation. This has turned you into an outstanding authority within development of strategies. You have already proven that you are a competent project manager, and your strong business insight enables you to define the strategy and establish the operating model for IT application sourcing. If you have been operating in the pharmaceutical industry or in a GMP-regulated environment, it will be an advantage. Additionally, you use ITIL, COBIT, TOGAF or other frameworks to structure your activities. You know how to secure buy-in from the production sites and other stakeholders, and you realise that great communication skills and a convincing attitude give value for money.
At Novo Nordisk, you will join a patient-centered culture of talented professionals. We respect individuality and empower you to make the most of your potential.
