IT & Projects is part of Global Safety who has the global responsibility for surveillance of the Safety and Quality of Novo Nordisk clinical development and marketed products. The department plays a critical role with a strong commitment to safeguard patients receiving our development compounds and marketed products.
The Job
As OBIEE Professional you will be part of a dynamic team currently consisting of 6 dedicated employees, in an area of approx. 350 colleagues. Close collaboration with our colleagues in Bangalore, India is essential. The role entails developing and supporting BI based reports and dashboards on the OBIEE platform. You will be working primarily with data from the Oracle based safety database, Argus Safety, building customised reports and dashboard based on internal customer requirements. Other data sources may be based on SAS and SQL systems as well as data from the Clinical area. You will be working on improving the offerings of standardised reports available to end-users in OBIEE as well as creating ad-hoc report deliverables.
In the job you will be involved in finalising requirements from the customers/users, and construct output that meets their needs, by using tools like BI Publisher, BI Answers and BI Dashboards. Other tools that may also be part of daily work is extraction of data using SAS and SQL statements, where you may also be involved in setting up metadata definitions and dimensions for new data sources. A very important part of the job is verifying that deliverables are meeting customer expectations and that critical deliverables are being reviewed according to internal guidelines. We also expect you to take an active part in the continuous development of the growing department.
Qualifications
You have a degree in Computer Science and/or Life Sciences. Documented experience from current/former positions with utilising OBIEE and databases, preferably as OBIEE Professional is an advantage.
Additionally, previous experience within drug safety and/or clinical drug development is an asset. You have an advanced knowledge of database technology (i.e. SQL, Business Objects, TOAD, SAS, and Oracle) and other relevant IT technologies (i.e. Oracle Argus Insight, Oracle Argus Analytics and other Oracle Business tools). You understand data warehousing principles and know how to obtain good architectural design. You use Microsoft Excel on an advanced level and are fluent in English, both written and spoken. You are diligent and have an eye for detail. You show a high level of flexibility and you have excellent communication and cooperation skills.We invest a lot in both professional and personal development and have a thorough individualised development plan for each employee. As part of your job you will receive intensive training in Pharmacovigilance.
