About the department
You will join a Business Support Department and be a part of Insulin Manufacturing II (IM2) handling both fermentation, recovery and purification of insulin. IM2 has a very strong leadership team where cooperation and a “can do” approach are key requirements. Novo Nordisk, Kalundborg, is a city within the city and is located only a good hours drive from Copenhagen. In Kalundborg 50 % of the insulin used in the world is produced and we are at the front edge of the development within technology, systems, methods and processes.
The Job
Your focus is to continuously improve LEAN competencies and to support activities in order to improve stability and quality in our processes from fermentation to purification. Everybody Managers as employees must be equipped with the right tools that enable them to work with a very high quality mind-set and as efficiently and as cost-consciously as possible. You will therefore spend time in the production area where you spot processes and methods with LEAN improvement potential. Data crunching will be a natural part of your job. You see, you solve, you share and follow-up on problems. As part of this, you support and coach managers across the entire facility in the development of LEAN thinking, systems and methods like performance boards, problem solving and process confirmation. Standardisation, alignment and best practice sharing will be vital for your success.
It will also be your responsibility to set direction, inspire and motivate the LEAN itiatives in IM2 closely together with a team of LEAN Partners in the production areas and in close cooperation with the management team.
Qualifications
You hold a technical or commercial degree at Master’s level, or you have an MSc in one of the natural sciences. To this you have added several years of practical experience implementing LEAN tools maybe in a pharmaceutical production environment. Here you have either acquired managerial skills, or you have obvious leadership ambitions and potential. In addition, you are well versed within change management and able to set the standards and contribute to central cLEAN activities. You might have proven to be a successful Project Manager, and if you have a SIX Sigma certification, it will indeed be a plus.
Having sound interpersonal skills, you are able to communicate with people at all organisational levels. Moreover, you possess a natural drive and the ability to inspire and motivate people. Finally, you have a good business understanding and comprehend the values of a large production site. Your IT skills include at least MS Office and preferably statistical tools and you know how to make clear and precise presentations.
Proficiency in English both written and oral is a prerequisite in this job.
