Are you looking for an opportunity to work with complex and challenging sourcing tasks in a global context? Needle Manufacturing & Sourcing is looking for a Strategic Purchaser for our Logistic department and needle category.
About the department
NMS Logistics is handling the sourcing of needles in Novo Nordisk Product Supply division. We are responsible the needle sourcing for partly the daily sourcing and strategic sourcing together with the central Strategic Sourcing. We source raw material, plan the production in NMS and for the contract manufacture and supply needle to our affiliate’s world-wide.
The job
As strategic purchaser you will together with Strategic Sourcing be responsible for the needle category with a spend for approximately 500 million DKK. Your responsibility includes managing needle sourcing activities, long term capacity agreements, risk evaluation and mitigations. On the daily basis your will have daily contact with the contract manufacture on issues that cannot be solved in the daily planning team. This included corporation with planning team, QA, needle manufacturing & development and R&D.
You will be the main driver of activities the needle category group together with colleagues from QA, Manufacturing Development, R&D and Logistics.
You will be one point of entry to the contract manufacture in Japan and Thailand and be a part of the activities such as annual audit and annual Quality Management Review.
Besides handling the existing sourcing set-up for needles the position also hold a responsibility for generating analysis and data for the needle marketing responsible.
Qualifications
You hold a degree as Cand.merc. Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Bsc Internal Business Global Business Engineering or similar. You have preferably +5 years of experience from medical device industry and a proven track record within sourcing and contract negotiations.
The job requires the skill to create strong network internally in Novo Nordisk as well as with the supplier. You must have an excellent communication skills being able to work with culture form Japan and Thailand and have the personal power to influence and retain focus. Engaging and a positive mind-set good corporation skills are personal competencies needed in order to be successful in this job. You must fluent in English (both written and oral) and mastering Microsoft Office. Category activities are global; you should expect 20 days of travel activities annually.
