Ambitious Leader with GMP-skills
- Production, Team Leader
- Denmark - Greater Copenhagen area
Our success has created a need for ambitious team leaders with GMP-experience for a number of our Danish production sites. You will set direction for a team of 10-20 highly motivated and competent academic employees and technicians.
About the department
The team will either be a process support or a QA/QC function with the aim of securing a high level of quality in both processes and products. Through trouble-shooting, optimisation and documentation you and your team play a significant part in delivering medicine that helps people live their lives on their own terms. In Novo Nordisk we strive to be the best.
The Job
As Team Leader you lead by example, set direction and make sure that your team is top motivated and full of energy. Our world is constantly changing towards even more advanced systems, processes and management styles. And you will play a key role in ensuring that everybody follows the new ideas and methods, just as you use LEAN to drive the continuous optimisation activities for processes and systems. Simultaneously, your job is to ensure that your team attains the objectives set for production volume, quality and time of delivery. That requires a visible management approach and clear-cut communication to ensure that your employees know the goals and how to contribute to reaching them. Another cornerstone of your work will be to coach and develop your team as a whole and as individuals. The assignments are characterised by a high degree of complexity and therefore necessitate being a sparring partner for your team and having a close dialogue with your Team Leader colleagues. You will be part of the department’s management team and report to an experienced Department Manager. Together you will be responsible for implementing Novo Nordisk’s strategy and values in the department. Look forward to a job, where you are offered the opportunity to develop professionally, personally and as a people manager.
Qualifications
You are a Production Engineer, Chemical Engineer, Pharmacist, Biochemist or similar and have hands-on experience with GMP, either from a job in a production environment or from QA. You have solid management experience, and you know how to coach, motivate and involve a team of colleagues. You communicate clearly and make sure that specific complex problems appear logically and coherently – in Danish and English. It is furthermore important that you thrive with making decisions in an alternating workday where the pace is high. If you are not already familiar with LEAN, you are aware of the basic principles and ready to learn more.
At Novo Nordisk is a healthcare company with 90 years of innovation and Global leadership in diabetes care. We also have leading positions within haemophilia care, growth hormone therapy and hormone replacement therapy. Our ambitions and skilled employees have brought us far, but we are far from finished. That is why we are investing massively in our global value chain, especially our production set-up. And this is where you enter the scene.
