Novo Nordisk is currently building a new diabetes API plant in Clayton, NC next to our existing facility that employs 800 people. The new plant will initially employ 700 employees to produce the active ingredients for a new diabetes oral treatment and a range of other diabetes drugs.<br/><br/>Novo Nordisk is currently seeking top talent for this green field project and eventual operations. Here you will work with the best manufacturing professionals in the industry, while learning and taking part in the plant design.<br/><br/>Position Purpose: Responsible for planning & executing on creation of Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) for the new facility. Will formulate, communicate & implement SOP landscape & timeline that meet project & future operational goals. Will build a team of technical writers capable of establishing procedures in accordance with defined overall project schedule.<br/><br/>Accountabilities:<br/>* Work package owner to drive establishment of the future facility SOP Landscape.<br/>* Plan resources, time, deliveries, procurement, & budget according to work package scope.<br/>* Coordinate activities closely with other DAPI-US work package functions to ensure SOP alignment.<br/>* Ensure the specified requirements are implemented in a systematic way.<br/>* Ensure cross functional work package team is involved from project to manufacturing ramp up.<br/>* Ensure that relevant DAPI Denmark organization manufacturing procedures & methods are implemented into the NN DAPI-US project & future NN DAPI-US manufacturing practices.<br/>* Ensure that the NN DAPI-US quality plan, standards, & methods are the basis for operational execution.<br/>* Drive timely & clear project reporting status to relevant stakeholders.<br/>* In cooperation with Senior Leadership Team, ensure project team possess required skills to work efficiently & are fully utilized across the SOP landscape. Ensure work package status changes & on-going risks are clearly communicated with all relevant stakeholders & project management teams.<br/><br/>Education:<br/>* BS/BA in engineering, social sciences or related field. MA/MS/MBA preferred, or an equivalent combination of education & experience.<br/>* PMI or Prince2 certification a plus.<br/><br/>Experience:<br/>* Minimum 5-7 years of relevant project management experience, preferably in pharmaceutical manufacturing & expansion projects.<br/>* 5+ years of successful project management experience from leading cross-functional projects.<br/>* 5+ years of GxP experience.<br/>* Leadership experience on shop floor level.<br/>* Experience within automation desired.<br/><br/>Technical/Process/Functional Knowledge:<br/>* Strong project management skills.<br/>* Drive & deliver project plan according to milestones & deliverables through clear & succinct communication to influence project stakeholders.<br/>* Pharmaceutical manufacturing quality system knowledge, including knowledge of FDA requirements.<br/>* Business understanding in Pharma to understand needs & able to integrate specialist knowledge & business perspective.<br/>* Communications: written, verbal, presentation, impact & influence.<br/>* Quality assurance.<br/>* Lean manufacturing.<br/>* Organizational change management.<br/><br/>Physical & Other Requirements:<br/>* Ability to work in & around an active construction site.<br/>* Ability to travel locally & internationally, as needed.<br/>* Ability to work flexible hours to meet customer demands.<br/><br/>Department DAPI US - SITE SUPPORT<br/>Position Location US - Clayton, NC<br/>City Clayton<br/>State/Provinces US - NC
