In this job, you will be responsible for ensuring financial control of the largest development projects in Novo Nordisk’s pipeline and impact decision making based on sound financial insights and a solid business understanding. If you find challenges like these exciting and inspiring, you may be our new Global Project Finance Partner.
About the department
Novo Nordisk is one of the world’s most successful pharmaceutical companies and with a great growth potential. R&D Finance is a part of Corporate Finance and is responsible for the financial management of the R&D organisation. R&D Finance is a dynamic team consisting of 13 dedicated employees. Our overall aim is to create impact through Finance Partnering to our customers and stakeholders by combining strong financial competencies with a solid understanding of the business in which we operate.
The job
In order to support the growing global R&D organisation, we are now looking for a Global Project Finance Partner to drive and further develop the support towards key phase 3 development projects which make up a significant part of our total cost base of DKK 11 billion. As Global Project Finance Partner you will be a senior member of the R&D Finance team and you will be responsible for ensuring financial control of the largest development projects and provide support to and impact decision making in close collaboration with the Global Project Teams managing all aspects of the development projects. You will also have a key role in overall financial management of the late stage development portfolio, and you will be responsible for developing and sharing best practices with your colleagues in R&D Finance as well as in the global development organisation. Furthermore, you will be involved in various cross organisational projects and ad hoc analyses in order to optimise the financial development within the development organisation.
Qualifications
The person we are looking for has completed a relevant master's degree (e.g. in finance or economics) with excellent results and has at least five years relevant experience, preferably including financial analysis and project management from the global pharmaceutical industry. You have strong analytical skills and have a proven record of ability to identify and realise business impact. You will be working closely with colleagues across the organisation and across geographies, so strong communication, collaboration and relation building skills are critical qualifications. You thrive in a busy environment, bring a can-do attitude, and while being a team player, it is important that you are able to independently identify, develop and implement new ideas and solutions. Finally, you master the English language both in speech and writing and are willing to invest time and effort in personal and professional development.
Please only submit applications in English.
At Novo Nordisk, we strive for excellence. As a world leader in diabetes care and a major player in haemostasis management, growth hormone therapy and hormone replacement therapy, we offer our employees opportunities for continuous growth.
