Requisition ID 43930BR<br/>Title Manager - Emerging Technologies<br/>Job Category Marketing<br/>Job Description Purpose:<br/><br/>The Manager, Emerging Technologies will support Novo Nordisk’s strong commitment to its Omni-channel Customers (Patients, HCP, and Managed Markets), by identifying and deploying emerging digital technologies that significantly enhance audience awareness, digital engagement, and actionable conversion. Serving as the subject matter expert within the evolving digital marketing and emerging capabilities sphere, this individual will act as a digital point of contact across the organization supporting all customer-facing marketing efforts through an integrated Multi-Channel Marketing (MCM) methodology.<br/><br/>Through this role, the Manager, Emerging Technologies will collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements for planning new digital marketing, advertising, content roadmaps, relationship marketing, multi-channel marketing campaigns, etc. More specifically, this individual will be responsible for guiding the development and launch of digital marketing strategies/emerging technologies across all digital engagement channels including, but not limited to: websites, email, display, mobile and social media, etc.<br/><br/>Relationships:<br/><br/>Reports to the Senior Manager, Emerging Technologies & Digital Strategy; Provides direct support to the Digital Marketing team, HCP, Patient and Brand Leads. The position interacts with multiple NNI internal functions such as Commercial Operations & Planning, PCSS, Brand Managers, Sales Operations, IT, Procurement, Customer Call Center, Legal, Regulatory and Commercial Effectiveness, as well as external, operational vendors, and agencies.<br/><br/>Essential Functions:<br/><br/>* Maintains up-to-date knowledge of a broad range of emerging technology trends and identifies opportunities where technology might be deployed in order to deliver business improvements and competitive advantage<br/>* Partners closely with leadership across capabilities and disciplines to ensure that appropriate digital strategy and digital capabilities are in place to deliver on the agreed business initiatives and requirements<br/>* Identifies and addresses technology gaps in current capabilities that may impact on the ability to meet the demands of the business units<br/>* Collaborates with Operations to manage the technology and resources associated with applications and technologies within the capability areas<br/>* Collaborates with Brand Marketing, RM Managers and Media in managing and operationalizing programs with digital engagement intent<br/>* Define and document business rules that translate campaign requirements into technical specifications<br/>* Develops and manages digital and technology deployment project plans and timelines; Ensures full alignment across internal and external stakeholders and partners<br/>* Defines and documents operational standards for efficient execution and management of digital marketing initiatives<br/>* Provides guidance and direction in optimizing campaigns and/or building new, digital capabilities<br/>* Helps manage and plan resource allocation both within NNI as well as execution<br/>* Manages and oversees budgets at a campaign or project level<br/>* Helps identify work-process efficiencies across digital marketing functions<br/>* Develops and manages best-in-class capabilities and infrastructure for the execution of Omni-channel digital programs through establishing system requirements, processes, procedures, and aligned to future capability roadmap<br/>* Demonstrates creativity and innovation in applying solutions for the benefit of the customer/stakeholder; Promotes same within team<br/>* Investigates and develops innovative methods of exploiting IT assets to the benefit of the company<br/>* Leverages the content management and governance process to reinforce agile values and make frequent planning cycle decisions<br/>* Provides expertise in the competitive landscape, market trends and research (both primary and secondary) and will be responsible for developing and clearly articulating an overarching strategy and describing how individual project roadmaps support a larger vision<br/>* Demonstrates a foundational knowledge of associated technical disciplines and uses high level of technical understanding to interpret technical issues for the business and sustain credibility with IT<br/>* Responsible for ensuring strategies are thoroughly vetted; market needs assessed, market segmentation understood, technical solution validated and the business model viable<br/>* Demonstrates the ability to think critically, challenge conventional thinking and generate and apply unique business insight to create competitive advantage for the organization<br/>Required Skills & Experience<br/><br/>* BA or BS degree in applicable field or equivalent work experience<br/>* At least 8 years’ experience with digital consulting, marketing firms and/or other related roles required.<br/>* Strong market/customer centric vision and understanding<br/>* History working with digital consulting or marketing firms in the development of engagement strategy, digital strategies, internal and external messaging, target conversion, etc.<br/>* Ability to evaluate customer needs, service trends, market segmentation as a method to create overarching digital strategies and plans<br/>* Strong Microsoft Office suite abilities<br/>* Requires experience developing complex business cases<br/>* Requires self-starter, highly organized, efficient, and capable of leading large meetings and driving them towards a common goal<br/>* Ability to evaluate key business and product metrics to determine specific actions or service feature additions that would favorably impact key metrics<br/>* Strong project management, problem solving and analytical thinking skills<br/>* Requires knowledge of digital strategy delivery and data technologies<br/>* Desired candidate has knowledge of standard and emerging technologies, platforms, support systems, processes, architectures, order flows, integrated dependencies, etc.<br/>* Proven ability to interface with people from various departments, positions and knowledge levels<br/><br/>Department MKT - MARKETING OPS & PLATFORMS (3d)<br/>Position Location US - Princeton, NJ<br/>City Plainsboro<br/>State/Provinces US - NJ <br/><br/>At Novo Nordisk, we know that driving change on a global level and improving treatment outcomes for people with diabetes and other chronic diseases begins here at home.
