Production, Inc. in West Lebanon, NH is looking for a Strategic Sourcing Area Specialist to lead and manage the contractor and vendor selection process and maintain our list of qualified vendors. The person in this role will ensure the acquisition of high quality goods/services at the best possible prices by negotiating and monitoring contracts with selected suppliers. The Strategic Sourcing Area Specialist will also manage continuous improvement initiatives that drive efficient and effective sourcing practices that will realize increased investment efficiency of monies spend and ensure fair value and service accountability.<br/><br/>Relationships:<br/><br/>* Sr Mgr, Materials & Procurement<br/><br/>Main Job Tasks:<br/><br/>* Ensure contract coverage for key services and goods<br/>* Maintain list of qualified contractors<br/>* Ensure storage of contracts in the proper systems<br/>* Monitor and track expiration of contracts<br/>* Benchmark operational costs to industry standards regarding Request for Quotation (RFQ) process<br/>* Communicate to Line of Business approved suppliers for key services and goods<br/>* Conduct spend analysis to support and justify sourcing direction and related activities<br/>* Develop supplier selection criteria and facilitate internal customers through sourcing processes<br/>* Manage and monitor organizational compliance with all established supplier agreements<br/>* Serve as key sourcing liaison with Corporate Sourcing colleagues and manage the tracking/reporting of key departmental metrics<br/>* Establishes, directs and leads cross-functional teams in various sourcing categories to identify, select, negotiate, establish and source preferred supplier contracts, agreements, leases, supplies and services.<br/>* Identify, pursues, and maximizes opportunities for realizing cost saving without sacrificing the quality, service and reliability expected of our suppliers.<br/>* Partner with internal customers to demonstrate how Purchasing can help support overall business strategies<br/>* Supports the novo DSI Supplier Diversity program and promotes the inclusion of diverse suppliers in all sourcing initiatives<br/>* Resolve issues relating to receipts of order discrepancies regarding contracts<br/>* Manage suppliers to achieve planned outcomes based on business needs, and drive on-going improvement in supplier performance<br/>* Coordinate sourcing activities with Strategic Sourcing in Denmark for assigned commodities<br/>* Develop reporting tools and metrics as needed to monitor the contract process<br/>* Develop and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships<br/>* Maintain and develop department procedures according to cGMPs<br/>* Performs all job duties and responsibilities in a compliant and ethical manner and in accordance with the Novo Way and 10 Essentials, all applicable healthcare laws, regulations and industry codes.<br/>* Perform other duties as assigned<br/><br/>Knowledge, Skills and Experience:<br/>* BS/BA in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or related field.<br/>* 5 years of experience and increasing responsibility in planning /purchasing or related field preferred<br/>* Strong Knowledge of Strategic Sourcing Methodologies, Processes and Purchasing practices<br/>* Strong Negotiation skills<br/>* Excellent verbal and written communication skills; good presentation skills<br/>* Computer skills including experience with Excel and electronic Material management systems.<br/>* Familiarity with SAP<br/>* Proven process improvement and problem solving skills<br/>* Willing to learn LEAN and Flow concepts and skills<br/><br/>Department NNUSBPI - MATERIALS & PROCUREMENT<br/>Position Location US - Lebanon, NH<br/>City West Lebanon<br/>State/Provinces US - NH
