Requisition ID 44739BR<br/>Title SENIOR MANAGER - COMPLIANCE BUSINESS PARTNER<br/>Job Category Compliance<br/>Job Description PURPOSE:<br/>Serves as the primary brand liaison between Compliance and assigned line of business. Responsibilities include identifying LoB/Compliance needs including, but not limited to, communicate and execute compliance initiatives, provide compliance guidance and oversight on all LoB initiatives. Individual will represent Compliance on Extended Brand Teams (EBTs) and home office cross functional teams for the assigned LoB including; Marketing, Sales Training, Human Resources, Field Force Effectiveness, Legal, IT and external vendors.<br/><br/>RELATIONSHIPS:<br/>Reports to the Senior Director, Business Partners & Training. Interacts daily with other Compliance staff, IT, Quality, Legal, Field Sales, Field Medical and external consultants supporting Novo Nordisk.<br/><br/>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<br/>Serve as main point of contact for assigned LoB providing updates on Compliance Program activities, results and trends. Responsible for ensuring that Compliance leadership and other NNI senior management are informed of issues or problems related to meeting compliance program standards and issues that may arise within the Department, and where possible, propose solutions. Serve in a consultative compliance role for assigned LoB. Involved in key business meetings and decisions providing oversight and guidance to mitigate healthcare compliance risks. Partner with legal counterparts to provide informed guidance, with specific focus on operational better practices. Communicate planned business activities to Compliance team and assess potential risks and develop mitigation plans. Produce written materials and presentations as necessary summarizing legal and compliance issues and risks. Develop and deliver live training and presentations for audiences at all levels of the organization. As requested, advise business units and functional area management regarding business initiatives that include interaction between company employees and healthcare practitioners and regarding compliance obligations, risks, violations, resolution, investigations, and corrective actions. Provide compliance oversight and training with regard to the laws, regulations and Company Policies for the Novo Nordisk Inc. employees, vendors and other parties. Develop means and processes for meeting training objectives for all employees of Novo Nordisk in the US. This includes but is not limited to training on interactions with patients, patient organizations, healthcare organizations and healthcare professionals, with a focus on the Anti-kickback Statute, the False Claims Act, FDA rules and regulations regarding the promotion of pharmaceuticals, OIG Guidelines, the PhRMA Code and other relevant voluntary guidelines. Maintain current understanding of laws and regulations applicable to pharmaceutical compliance, along with recent trends and changes; assist with interpretation of state and federal law from a compliance perspective; provide advice and counsel regarding the application and interpretation of state and federal statutes, including fraud & abuse, anti-kickback, and false claims statutes, statutes and regulations requiring the reporting of marketing and sales activities and prices, and other relevant laws. Maintains effective lines of communication to report incidents of legal non-compliance complaints.<br/><br/>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:<br/>Up to 20% overnight travel<br/><br/>KEY SUCCESS FACTORS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:<br/>* A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required<br/>* At least eight (8) or more years of pharmaceutical experience; business experience (marketing, sales, etc.) with experience or interest in compliance is preferred<br/>* Knowledge/experience of industry laws, regulations, and guidelines<br/>* Experience working under a CIA is preferred<br/>* Expertise in NNI policies and procedures or prior compliance-related experience<br/>* Demonstrated ability to influence and move key business stakeholders toward a common goal<br/>* Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization<br/>* Problem solving skills and solutions-oriented thinking<br/>* Ability to clearly articulate verbal and written messages to a variety of audiences<br/>* Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations<br/>* Excellent interpersonal/presentation/communication skills.<br/>* Proven track record of producing resultsUncompromising ethics and high standard of personal integrity<br/><br/>Department North America - Compliance (2a)<br/>Position Location US - Plainsboro, NJ<br/>City Plainsboro<br/>State/Provinces US - NJ
