Requisition ID 45306BR<br/>Title Manager - Market Intelligence<br/>Job Category Commercial Effectiveness<br/>Job Description PURPOSE:<br/><br/>As a key member of the Market Intelligence and Strategic Planning team responsible for leading insight driven consultation through gathering and validating competitive, customer, and healthcare landscape information to build knowledge and drive better decision-making in Market Access and Brand Marketing. As a strategic advisor to the Market Access leadership team, provide holistic analysis of customers such as PBMs, organized customer groups such as IDNs and health systems and identify opportunities and risks based on the analysis. Track competitor’s market access strategies and level of engagement within various customer groups. Analyze customer’s financial and strategic priorities and deliver timely actionable insights to the market access leadership team on market and industry trends and other external issues as directed and set by senior leadership. Collect and integrate intelligence information to be used by leadership teams charged with setting competitive and market strategies. Identify and build new capabilities to address the customer/healthcare information needs of the organization as well as initiate new intelligence capabilities to allow NNI better understand the customer and competitor’s consumer and digital strategies.<br/><br/>RELATIONSHIPS:<br/><br/>This position reports to the director of Market Intelligence and Strategic Planning team. Interacts and collaborates with colleagues in Marketing Effectiveness, brand teams, Account Executives, Sales force, Medical department, Market Access, Global CI etc., as well as external sources and industry experts. Reports validated and analyzed information back to Marketing and Market Access Leadership Team, Brand management Teams and the organization in general, with specific dissemination determined by intelligence confidence, security and appropriateness. Integrates market intelligence into planning, market research, and payer strategy development. External relationships include interactions with professional services vendors and well as key industry experts. Works closely with key account executives in addressing the needs for key customer meetings. Provide the landscape overviews in support of key customer interactions. Serve at the Market Access intelligence lead with the global CI team.<br/><br/>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<br/><br/>* Analyzes and triangulates information, determines significance, assesses implications, provides analysis and communicates data to key stakeholders with recommended actions and potential counter measures as appropriate<br/>* Collaborates with colleagues in Market Research and other Market Intelligence Managers to ensure complete and consistent communications across the organization.<br/>* Contributes to the coordination all related global information with key departments in Denmark and is the key contact for global regarding Payer intelligence and competitive market access strategy.<br/>* Inputs information into CI tracking systems, repositories and participates in supporting the establishment of an (IT) infrastructure to help facilitate knowledge sharing across Marketing and other key functions<br/>* Produces reports of results and trends for MR & CI management review prior to leadership presentation Intelligence may be in the form of competitive profiles, executive summaries, special topic briefs, etc..<br/>* Gathers relevant CI information to be included in sales training<br/>* Follows formal protocols and policies for the collection, assessment, classification, storage, and dissemination of competitive information in accordance with Novo Nordisk’s SOP for gathering CI<br/>* Develop creative solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.<br/>* Gather information from a variety of internal and external sources regarding competitors' strategy, concentration, financial results, targeted markets, merger & acquisition activities, product development<br/>* Participate in the identification of vendors for competitive intelligence research; support senior team in coordinating research projects in alignment with brand team needs within budget<br/>* Support planning and brand strategies by creating presentations of competitor information<br/>* Provide support to the ongoing budget planning process (AB/RE/SPP) of gathered information<br/>* Monitor and report on Healthcare trends and track indicators for change within the Healthcare ecosystem.<br/>* Provide updates on market events and their implications to NNI.<br/><br/>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: N/A<br/><br/>DEVELOPMENT OF PEOPLE: N/A<br/>Additional Information<br/>* A bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a science or business discipline. Master's degree preferred.<br/>* 6+ years of related experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.<br/>* Solid understanding of the intelligence cycle, especially collection, assessment, and management of primary data required.<br/>* In depth understanding of the payer landscape and payer data sources<br/>* Experience with analyzing financial data sources<br/>* Experience in integrating multiple data sources and generating insights and recommendations<br/>* Preference for experience in analytics and market research<br/>* General business experience, preferably in a professional services environment or sales, marketing, consulting capacity with some prior competitive intelligence experience required.<br/>* Ability to structure and present qualitative data in a compelling and convincing fashion<br/>* Prior experience working cross functionally<br/>* Analytical and strategic thinking – able to see the big picture from scattered pieces of information; writing, presentation, and project management skills<br/>* Networking – positively interacts with any relevant source of information.
