Requisition ID 45360BR<br/>Title Director, Marketing Operations<br/>Job Category Marketing<br/>Job Description PURPOSE:<br/><br/>The leadership and accountability for this position lie with the Marketing Operations controlling competencies. Strategic planning and oversight of all operational execution for the following focused areas: Marketing Operations team budget management, Promotional Review Board (PRB) Process & System Oversight, Marketing Materials Production, Marketing Materials Distribution, Asset Management, and Reporting Management. Provides best in class support across NNI Marketing and Corporate functions, with overarching responsibility and leadership for directing activities of the entire Marketing Operations team.<br/><br/>RELATIONSHIPS:<br/><br/>Reports to the Sr. Director, Marketing Operations & Platforms. Primary interaction is with all levels of NNI Marketing team, Corporate Function teams, and Reviewer teams. Accountable for all Marketing Operational services to the VP of each of the Brand portfolio teams. This role has both direct and indirect reports and is also responsible for managing relationships, and in some instances teams, from key external service partners. Leads a team of 10 FTEs (2 direct reports) and any additional FTE onsite contractors. Interacts regularly with leadership from Sales, Medical, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, IT, Procurement and Finance, as well as with external suppliers, agencies, and professional organizations.<br/><br/>LEADS & DIRECTS NNI MARKETING MATERIALS PRB PLANNING AND REVIEW PROCESS:<br/><br/>* Responsible for overseeing the entire marketing materials planning & review process, including PRB submission planning, PRB meeting management, marketing materials production, POA material delivery and field sales distribution logistics.<br/>* Leads & facilitates PRB Working Group, represent Marketing Operations functions, manage meeting frequency and agenda topics. Meeting consists of leaders from all key areas including Marketing, Medical, Legal, Regulatory, Product Safety and Medical Information (for MAR).<br/>* Continually monitors the marketing materials planning & review process with PRB Working Group to govern and continuously improve the process. Identifies areas where Marketing Operations can provide improve/support. Leads initiatives to foster continual improvement of the process to meet the needs of the marketing teams and reviewers.<br/>* Leads the implementation of systems and processes to ensure the efficient development planning & review of high quality marketing materials.<br/>* Ensures Marketing Operations Team drives stakeholders to compliance of PRB policies and procedures.<br/>* Ensures Production & Distribution team understands and anticipates the production needs of the marketing teams.<br/>* Ensures compliance to the PRB policies and procedures.<br/>* Owns entire PRB process; Author of SOP #044411 Promotional Material Review Process.<br/>MyPRB SYSTEM<br/><br/>* Owns MyPRBworkflow approval system for PRB.<br/>* Participates/ helps drive SAB/CAB for system with IT System Manager.<br/>* Oversees system issue management.<br/><br/>LEADS AND DIRECTS PRB PROCESS AND SYSTEM TRAINING:<br/><br/>* Oversees development and execution of all training materials for PRB process and system.<br/>* Oversees team on management of all users/participants for training requirements.<br/>LEADS & DIRECTS THE EXECUTION OF PRINT, PREMIUMS, AND DIRECT MARKETING PROGRAMS:<br/><br/>* Oversees team that manages Print Production and distribution for brands/COEs..<br/>* Oversees team that determines qualified suppliers and ensures ongoing supplier management, included but not limited to site visits, reviews, contract execution, RFI/RFP’s and issue resolution.<br/>* Oversees team that executes assigned production projects for Marketing and determines program specifics and identify suppliers.<br/>* Oversees team that assures quality and maintains creative integrity on all projects through each of its stages: spec development, production, assembly, receipt, and distribution.<br/>* Oversees team that provides direction to internal and external teams on production issues to ensure efficient execution of high-quality, cost-effective marketing materials.<br/>* Oversees team that provides production and project management expertise to marketing for promotional materials and related services.<br/>* Oversees team that understands and anticipates the production needs of the marketing teams.<br/>* Oversees team that manages the supplier base for production, premiums and distribution including the selection and maintenance of approved suppliers and adherence to the preferred supplier guidelines.<br/>* Oversees team that works with Procurement, as needed, to assure best goods and services are obtained at competitive prices<br/>* Oversees standards, guidelines and process for the production of marketing programs and projects<br/>* Oversees Federal and State reporting for NNI Aggregate Spend<br/>LEADS NNI PRB SUBMISSION PLAN PROCESS/ENSURE THAT THE PRB SUBMISSION PLAN PROCESS IS FOLLOWED:<br/><br/>* Oversees team for the PRB submission planning process and Ensures that the PRB submission plans across all brands are managed consistently.<br/>* Closely tracks and monitors PRB metrics.<br/>* Proactively develops and seeks ideas for process improvements.<br/>LEADS MARKETING OPERATIONS TEAM:<br/><br/>* Engages with stakeholders from NNI Marketing and Corporate Functions to ensure Marketing Operations capabilities and service levels exceed expectations.<br/>* Develops short and long-term functional plan for Marketing Operations team.<br/>* Oversees budget responsibility for all Marketing Operations related services.<br/>DEVELOPMENT OF PEOPLE:<br/><br/>* Ensure that reporting personnel have 3P forms with annual goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business, and that interim reviews are held so that their work is focused on those priorities, and they understand their level of accountability for results and the measurement process.<br/>* Ensure that the IDP forms include completed Learning and Aspiration plans and are in place for all reporting personnel to enable the achievement of goals and capability to assume increased levels of responsibility.<br/>* Manage the application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and Novo Nordisk Way of Management.<br/><br/>Additional Information KEY SUCCESS FACTORS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:<br/><br/>* A Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred<br/><br/>* A minimum of 10 years of experience in a project/traffic management or related capacity, as well as a solid foundation of business strategy and understand required; including a minimum of 4(?) years of progressive management experience leading large teams with 2nd line reporting structure required<br/>* Advertising and promotion related experience, such as an marketing/advertising operations within pharmaceuticals or other industries, advertising agency, marketing communications, or direct marketing company highly preferred<br/>* Expertise in controlling/budget management and planning is required<br/>* Knowledge of e-technologies to support budgeting, sourcing, tracking and other related fields is preferred<br/>* Leadership, communication, change management, influencing, and networking skills are critical<br/>* Must have strong knowledge of pharmaceutical advertising and promotion practices agency management, print production, and materials management skills<br/>* Planning, Execution and Follow-Up- effectively prioritizes and spends his/her time and the time of others on what is important. Develops accurate short- and long- term plans, forecasting, and business analysis. Ensures timely execution and follow-up. Meets deadlines.
