Requisition ID 45825BR<br/>Title SENIOR SPECIALIST- HUMAN RESOURCES SYSTEMS<br/>Job Category Human Resources<br/>Job Description Purpose:<br/>This position is responsible for supporting the maintenance of various HR systems and will serve as a technical point of contact for assigned functional areas and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing HR processes and data flows for continuous process improvement opportunities. Will also support HR systems upgrades, patches, and manage other technical projects as assigned.<br/><br/>Relationships:<br/>This position reports to the Director, HR Systems. The position is accountable for collaborating with multiple internal, external and corporate stakeholders. Develops and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders throughout the organization.<br/><br/>Essential Functions:<br/>Lead the review, testing and implementation of HR system upgrades or patches to ensure systems are functioning properly according to system specifications and requirements. Provide support for HR systems, including, but not limited to: researching and resolving technical or data related issues, performing scheduled activities, determining and assisting in the prioritization of strategic and operational requirements, recommending and executing solutions to meet requirements. Manage enterprise-wide HR-related data needs to further support data integration efforts from start to finish which includes translating user requirements into technical documentation for IT use, maintaining thorough documentation and liaison with IT on development, testing and implementation of interfaces. Analyze HR processes and data flows; will lead the redesign of complex business processes by recommending and implementing improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of HR systems. Support local and global projects by providing assistance during system design, testing, implementation and training phases. Execute high level project management skills for assigned HR initiatives. Write, maintain and support a variety of standard reports or queries using appropriate reporting tools. Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data. Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs. Provides consultation and technical expertise to stakeholders in identifying all HR system needs and serves as the liaison with IT professionals both locally and globally. Communicates clearly and effectively with stakeholders to set expectations on the feasibility and timeframe for delivery of solutions, delivering on commitments. Develop user procedures, guidelines and documentation and train HR system users to ensure broad-based system knowledge in order to minimize system support issues. Analyze existing HR data needs; design and implement complex Visual Basic applications to integrate disparate data from multiple sources to create efficiencies and synergies in managing HR data. Manages databases, including, but not limited to: data structures, interdependencies, documentation, and system and database administration to support HR data needs.<br/><br/>Physical Requirements<br/>0-10% overnight travel required<br/><br/>Development of People:<br/>Not applicable<br/><br/>Qualifications:<br/>* A Bachelor’s Degree required (relevant experience and/or certification in specialized HR function may be substituted for degree, when appropriate) with a minimum of 8 years of experience in progressively responsible roles. Experience in HR is preferred<br/>* A minimum of 8 years of experience with office automation and developing functional business applications, including MS Excel, Access, and Outlook<br/>* Ability to identify and resolve complex problems and applies problem-solving skills in order to deal with most situations.<br/>* Advanced knowledge of Visual Basic, MS Excel, and MS Access – will need to work with a variety of technology applications (e.g., SAP)<br/>* Demonstrated skill in analyzing the ability of current automated solutions to meet business needs and recommending new or improved solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness<br/><br/>Department HR - HR SYSTEMS<br/>Position Location US - Plainsboro, NJ<br/>City Plainsboro<br/>State/Provinces US - NJ <br/><br/>At Novo Nordisk, we know that driving change on a global level and improving treatment outcomes for people with diabetes and other chronic diseases begins here at home.
