Do you want to use your managerial skills leading a team of highly professional colleagues? Then you have the opportunity to be Associate Manager for a team of 13 skilled Chemists and Laboratory Technicians at Novo Nordisk’s DAPI Manufacturing Development analytical support lab in Kalundborg.
About the department
The department consists of 50 colleagues responsible for Analytical support for all production analyses from fermentation to purification. You will lead one of the two Chemicals teams, which provides chemical analyses support to site QC and Manufacturing Development. The job will make you part of the Management group of 4 people besides you, including the Department Manager, two Associate Managers and Secretary.
The job
Overall, your objective is to make sure that the laboratory and your team comply with the high standards and regulations as described in GMP and ISO 9001. It is equally your job to make sure that we work in a culture of continuous improvements. For this, you set the KPIs for your team and follow up accordingly. You will prioritise the tasks in the team and ensure optimal allocation of resources, and concurrently you take the relevant steps to develop both team and department further. You set a good example and lead the way to ensure that your employees obtain the right behaviour and achieve the targets. To succeed, you focus on creating a work environment that fosters job enthusiasm, and you match the requests and capabilities of your team. Last but not least, you seek to establish good collaboration with your stakeholders within DAPI and Novo Nordisk.
Qualifications
You have solid managerial experience from a similar role in a manufacturing company, which has given you insight into GMP, ISO9001 and Lean. Your experience is backed by a degree within one of the Natural Sciences disciplines, and it will indeed be an advantage if you have experience with biotechnology analyses. You have a keen eye for optimising processes as well as improving your team’s working conditions. It is important that you thrive in a changing environment and know how to motivate your employees during changes. You have a goal-oriented mindset and the will and the skills to meet the ambitious targets. Moreover, you have strong communication skills, a positive attitude and an inspiring and engaging behaviour, and it shows that you take an interest in your employees’ well-being.
