Title Associate, System and Data Management

Job Description PURPOSE:
Ensures each assigned data element has clear and unambiguous data element definitions that do not conflict with other data elements in metadata registry. Defines enumerated value definitions for type codes. Ensure data elements are accurately being used consistently in the disparate systems. Analysis would include well documented usage and identification on the origins and sources of authority. Completes analysis of field certification letters and enters information into compliance database.
RELATIONSHIPS:
This role reports to the Manager, Data Quality, CE Systems and Data. Will interact with internal departments in regard to data quality metrics, IT and vendors (IMS, QPharma).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Organize and analyze multiple data sources
• Make decisions to merge records based on data element definitions and criteria
• Raise identified system issues to Manager Data Quality
• Data Q & A
• Posting of reports/contracts to share-site
• Conduct UAT (user acceptance tests) for various system releases as necessary
• Provide Ad Hoc assistance to various team members
• Evaluate and approve submitted field certification forms based on provided criteria
• Enter information from the forms into a database
• Create compliance reports from database and sending to key stakeholders
• Track timelines in report submissions
• Process “Name Change” change requests in OSS
• Provide back-up for Data Governance and Systems Training Associate Manager on Org Manager tasks
• Run pre-defined SQL queries to help with identifying priority data, i.e., AgSpend pending records
• Identify system data quality issues and provide optional solutions for remediation
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Approximately 0-5% overnight travel (Little to no overnight travel)
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• A Bachelor’s degree is required in Math, Science, Business Administration
• Must have a minimum of one year experience or work background
• Pharmaceutical data knowledge a benefit
• Microsoft Office skills required; query language knowledge a plus
• Must have strong analytic capability
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Must be capable of working independently or as a team member and able to lead others
• Must have the ability to multitask and adjust priorities as needed
• Must be organized and detail oriented
• Must be customer focused
