Associate Manager 12 month maternity cover

- Production, Team Leader
- Denmark - Hillerød

Do you want to cut your teeth mixing people management, coaching and development with the operational challenges of running a newly installed production line in the pharmaceutical industry? Are you intrigued to find out what goals you can achieve leading a team of highly skilled machine operators? Then a 12-month maternity cover as Associate Manager for FlexTouch/FlexPro Production at our Pre-assembly Production department in Hillerød, Denmark, might be the ideal place to start.

About the department
Pre-assembly Production is a department of Device Manufacturing & Sourcing in Novo Nordisk. At Pre-assembly Production we produce the working parts for the newest prefilled insulin devices, FlexTouch and FlexPro, keeping our sister factories in Diabetes Finished Products and Biopharmaceuticals well stocked. In a sense providing the motor for the new, popular devices, consistency and reliability in our deliveries are essential for Novo Nordisk A/S – and for people with diabetes all over the world.

The job
As acting Associate Manager for FlexTouch/FlexPro, you will be responsible for one of two teams of machine operators charged with keeping the assembly lines running. The goal is to achieve the highest level of efficiency while complying with all applicable manufacturing procedures. Your team will consist of 13 highly skilled machine operators, and it will be your job to lead, coach, motivate and develop the people on your team to reach your goals. To this end you will be working closely with the Associate Manager in charge of the other team. Continuously following up on your team’s performance, you will manage board meetings to provide overview and coordinate the tasks at hand. Working from a see, solve and share model, you’ll be in charge of systematic problem solving and continuous process confirmation. This means you will also work closely with the Management team, as well as Quality Support, QA Functions and Logistics, giving you a wide array of contacts and good opportunities for networking internally. As the production lines are brand new, this job also offers a rare opportunity for shaping future production systems and setups in Pre-assembly Production.

Qualifications
You have a degree in science, business administration, technical engineering or similar. Ideally, your educational background has been enhanced with experience from pharmaceutical production and in leading other people. As a person, you are good at establishing relations with other people, communicating constructively, challenging ideas and making decisions while keeping everyone feeling included in the process. You will be joining a management team characterised by good spirits, great cooperation, trust and enthusiasm, so an open and positive personality is a plus. Finally, as all members of the production team speak Danish, you must have proficiency in this language.

At Novo Nordisk, you can look forward to change. We encourage our employees to make the most of their talent. And we reward hard work and dedication with the opportunity for continuous learning and personal development.
