A challenging and varied position in CMC Analytical Development is available for a dynamic and skilful scientist within a R&D analytical support laboratory.

About the department
Department Diabetes Analytical Development is a part of CMC Injectable Protein Formulation in R&D. The department are organised in two analytical teams with a total number of 29 persons. The open position is in team Diabetes Analytical Support, which consists of 2 scientists and 11 technicians. Acting as link between Research Unit and Production the department is responsible for developing and supporting analytical methods for new diabetes products – all the way from early development until phase 3. The team is responsible for app. 50 different analytical methods, on a platform mainly of chromatographic methods within HPLC and UPLC.

The job
As Research Scientist you hold the analytical responsibility of a number of analytical methods. We continuously improve our processes and have a structured approach to problem solving through cLEAN. Trouble-shooting, interaction and daily supervision of the technicians are some of the exciting daily challenges. Therefore, an interest in leadership is an advantage. Furthermore you will interact with a wide variety of internal stakeholders, e.g. API Process Development, Analytical Formulation Development and Quality Assurance.

Qualifications
You hold a Master’s degree within Life Sciences (Pharmacy, Engineering or other relevant discipline). You have a minimum of 2 years of practical experience within HPLC/UPLC analytical development in the pharmaceutical industry. You have a good knowledge of general protein chemistry, and HPLC/UPLC. Knowledge of GMP/GLP regulatory requirements is an asset.

As person you have a positive and flexible mind-set, which is helpful in an ever changing project environment and enabling you to build fruitful relations to colleagues and stakeholders. You are a team player and contribute to reaching team goals. You have excellent oral and written communication skills. Preferably you have a growing intest for leadership, planning and coordination.
