Novo Nordisk is one of the world’s most successful pharmaceutical companies and the future growth of the company is based on an ever increasing Research and Development (R&D) portfolio. Do you want to be part of ensuring that the growth of Novo Nordisk R&D happens in full financial control?
The department
Research Finance is part of Corporate Financial Planning in Corporate Finance and is responsible for the financial management of Novo Nordisk research activities. We have close cooperation and interaction with the business units within research, and our aim is to act as true business partners based on strong financial competencies combined with a good understanding of the business in which we operate.
The job
You will be part of a young, dynamic and ambitious finance team consisting of 5 dedicated employees in Research Finance. You will be responsible for the financial development of one of the business units in R&D, and hence conduct financial planning and other key financial processes. In order to optimise the financial development within your area of responsibility, you’ll furthermore be conducting ad hoc analysis and scenarios, which you will present to senior management groups for approval.
Besides this you’ll be involved in various projects aiming at increasing transparency and optimizing processes across both R&D and the Finance organisation.
We invest a lot in both professional and personal development and have a thorough individualised development plan for each employee. Through on-the-job training, projects and courses you will experience a continued steep learning curve, thus enabling a number of future career opportunities in the global Novo Nordisk organisation.
Qualifications
The right candidate has completed a relevant master's degree (i.e. in finance or economics) with excellent results. You have strong analytical skills, are fluent in written and spoken English, computer literate and ready to invest time and effort in your development and future career. The atmosphere in Research Finance is informal and humorous. If you can hold on to your good sense of humour at all times, you are the kind of person we are looking for.
At Novo Nordisk, we strive for excellence. As a world leader in diabetes care and a major player in haemostasis management, growth hormone therapy and hormone replacement therapy, we offer our employees opportunities for continuous growth.
