About the department
Novo Nordisk, Biopharm QC Chemistry performs chemical and biological analysis on finished products, API, raw materials, water, stability studies and complaints.
The department consists of about 75 dedicated employees divided into four teams. We have a busy and stimulating environment with lots of opportunities to develop both your professional and personal competencies.
We are looking for a chemist for our ALVA team. Today the ALVA team consists of 14 laboratory technicians, 6 chemists and 1 Associate Manager. The main responsibility for the team is chemical analysis of Glucagon, hemophilia products, utility water and sterile water. The chemical analysis covers UV/VS, Kjeldahl, KF, turbidity, osmotic pressure, pH and conductivity, particulate matter, NVOC/TOC, AAS and NIR.
The job
As a chemist you will be a part of the daily operation from analysis to release of product and stability tests.
You will be responsible for some analytical methods and for securing that the analytical flow is aligned with our customers’ expectations. Continuous improvements and systematic problem solving by means of LEAN will also be part of your responsibility. You will support the Laboratory Technicians in their daily operations to ensure that the analytical performance and equipment live up to the requirements.
You will perform qualification of equipment and validation of analysis methods. Furthermore you will prepare documentation such as method of analysis, instructions, non-conformities and change requests.
Qualifications
You have an academic degree (Biochemist, Cand. Pharm, chemical engineer or other equivalent level of education) and are familiar with GMP and the requirements of the authorities in the pharmaceutical industry. Your technical background enables you to handle the functionality of the laboratory equipment, and you are able to familiarize yourself with new areas.
You thrive in a cGMP environment and have a strong mind-set for quality and compliance. Preferably you have LEAN experience. As a person you can stay focused in a busy working day and you always approach tasks and colleagues with a positive attitude and energy. You are analytical and work in a structural way and are used to deliver according to deadlines. Preferably you have several years of experience working with chemical analysis and are familiar with qualification of equipment and validation.
You have good communication skills and will be able to present documentation at inspections.
