Job Description PURPOSE:
This position will participate in the annual sales situation analysis and take ownership of multiple portions of the overall multivariate analysis. This includes national, sub-national, and managed markets analysis with components for the Novo Nordisk (NNI) diabetes portfolio for all sales channels. This position will conduct nationally directed sales analysis. Additionally this position will conduct sub-national analysis in support of NNI diabetes brands by analyzing data and reporting findings.

RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to the Manager, Field Force Analytics. Interacts regularly with members of the Field Force
Effectiveness team, Marketing Effectiveness, IT, and key stakeholders. Other relationships include interactions with HR. External relationships include vendors and information technology developers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• In collaboration with manager, support the other Sales Analytics teams in educating the RSM's and ASM's business planning process
• Collaborate with Retail, Managed Markets and Non-Retail Sales Analytics team to coordinate projects that span across the different teams
• Manage projects with customers and external vendors with little supervision
• Independently conduct sales analysis by querying data warehouses, analyzing multiple data sets, and formally communicating findings to customers and manager
• Become an expert in data visualization tools
• Collaborate with Retail, Non-Retail, and Managed Markets Sales Analytics teams to cascade national-level insights and conclusions to Regional Analytics Managers/Analysts on team
• Conduct deep dives on specific topics and aid in communication of key conclusions as directed by Manager
• Participate in the development of the national sales situation analysis
• Work with manager to develop a clear and concise story by analyzing multiple data sources and collaborating across the sales, marketing, HR and finance departments
• Work with peers to conduct sub-national brand analysis in collaboration with Marketing Effectiveness
• Participate in the overall national sales business planning and review process by collaborating across the core team and business planning partners
• Collaborate with the Data and Systems team to develop and implement sales reporting to track business planning objectives

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Approximately 25% overnight travel

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Engineering or related field required
• A minimum of 5 years pharmaceutical analytics or consulting experience required
• A minimum of 5 years pharmaceutical analytics or consulting experience required
• Analytical and/or technical proficiency at analyzing large data sets to derive insights
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, environment, with a quality control focus and a documentation orientation
• Experience with data visualization tools and / or SAS preferred
• Experience with pharmaceutical data, specifically Xponent, Xponent PlanTrak, data is preferred
• Innate intellectual curiosity, demonstrated desire to take initiative, and ability to think creatively to solve complex problems
• Outstanding team- and client-facing communication skills
• Project management skills
• Quantitative analysis skills
• Strong ability to work independently as well as in teams
