Job Description Position Purpose:
• Lead and manage the contractor and vendor selection process and maintain the list of qualified vendors. Ensure the acquisition of high quality goods/services at the best possible prices by negotiating and monitoring contracts with selected suppliers. Manage continuous improvement initiatives that drive efficient and effective sourcing practices that will realize increased investment efficiency of monies spend and ensure fair value and service accountability
Education:
BS/BA in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or related field.
Experience:
5 years of experience in planning /purchasing or related field preferred
Technical/Process/Functional Knowledge:
Strong Knowledge of Strategic Sourcing Methodologies, Processes and Purchasing practices
Strong Negotiation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; good presentation skills
Computer skills including experience with Excel and electronic Material management systems.
Familiarity with SAP
Proven process improvement and problem solving skills
Willing to learn LEAN and Flow concepts and skills
Physical Requirements:
Normal working environment. Able to work hours necessary to support a 24/7 operation.Eligible for passport; Some travel overseas required
Service attitude: Demonstrates a “How can I help you today!” attitude
