About the department
The Sourcing QA department holds approximately 35 employees divided into three teams. All teams consist of very competent employees with a high degree of independence lead by skilled and experienced associate managers. The department is a part of the overall QA area ensuring product quality of incoming materials and suppliers. We are currently looking for a new associate manager to take over the leadership of the Primary Packaging Materials team that is responsible for ensuring high quality container closure components for all Novo Nordisk manufacturing sites around the world. The team also contributes to ensure quality in projects regarding development of container closure systems for Novo Nordisk medicinal products.
The Job
As associate manager in Sourcing QA Primary Packaging Materials, you will lead a team of 12 QA professionals and 2 QA technicians, engaged in securing quality and compliance in processes concerning production, delivery and release of primary packaging materials.
You will support your employees in their daily efforts to solve quality challenges (such as handling of deviations) and prioritise tasks in a sometimes hectic work environment with constantly changing priorities and short deadlines. You will hold responsibility for your team’s performance, i.e. setting targets and reaching them. You have an honest interest in your employees and you will motivate and encourage them to use and develop their talents. You and your team will cooperate closely with your stakeholders in e.g. warehouses, QC laboratories, customer complaints centre, or development, and the other QA departments to improve the processes and develop the quality mind-set.
As part of the well-functioning management team in QA, you will be responsible for implementing quality strategies in your area.
Qualifications
You hold a master degree in pharmaceutical science, engineering, or a related discipline and you have several years of management experience. You have an excellent quality mindset and an extensive knowledge of GMP rules and quality assurance in the pharmaceutical industry and you can place the importance of compliance on the agenda in a positive and constructive way.
As a person, you have a high drive and sense of initiative combined with empathy and the ability to support and engage the employees. You are known for your positive mindset and you enjoy working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities. As we are cooperating broadly with many stakeholders, excellent collaboration, and communication skills are needed. You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
