PURPOSE:
To provide direct supervision to the administrative team that supports Sales Directors (geographically dispersed). Develop and manage the execution of administrative responsibilities to the Sales Director, and maintain high quality administrative support with a customer service mind-set.

RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to the Assoc/Director of Sales Operations. Manages a minimum of 10 administrators whose responsibility is to support Sales Directors. Works closely with Sales Directors and home office to achieve standardization of work, alignment and efficiencies, to ensure high quality administrative support. Other relationships include Sales VP EAs, Sales Directors and field and home office sales support personnel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Effectively delegates tasks to the Sales Director’s Administrators, enabling prompt and accurate execution.
Creates a highly professional, customer-focused, and supportive work environment in which the Administrative team operates. Sets the company-wide standard for excellence in customer service.
Builds relationships to improve collaboration with Sales Directors, Sales VP Executive Assistants and field and home office sales support.
Identifies, develops and leads a team of high performing individuals.
Includes customer in goal setting, feedback, interviewing and year-end input.
Identifies and implements opportunities to create administrative tasks efficiencies. Anticipates needs based on current business initiatives.
Performs other projects as assigned.
Plans and prepares communications requiring skill, tact, persuasion, and/or negotiation to accomplish the objectives of the communication.

DEVELOPMENT OF PEOPLE:
Ensure that reporting personnel have 3P forms with annual goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business, and that interim reviews are held so that their work is focused on those priorities, and they understand their level of accountability for results and the measurement process.
Ensure that the IDP forms include completed Learning and Aspiration plans and are in place for all reporting personnel to enable the achievement of goals and capability to assume increased levels of responsibility.
Manage the application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and Novo Nordisk Way of Management.
Establish a culture of accountability.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
A minimum of 7-10 years executive secretarial/administrative support experience required
Ability to build relationships with key executive stakeholders and be confident in professionally challenging when appropriate
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills required
Experienced in leading high performing teams and coaching and developing others
A minimum of 3 years of management or team lead experience required
Experience supporting a geographically dispersed team desired
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
The ability to work flexible hours (early a.m., overtime, etc) when needed; some travel may be required
Superb customer service skills
Collaborates closely with administrators and business leaders
