About the department
Product Supply is responsible for the end-to-end supply chain of all products from Novo Nordisk. Global Project Office manages Novo Nordisk’s multidisciplinary, cross-functional, global investment projects in Product Supply worldwide. Project investments add up to several 100 millions DKK and have – inevitably - the top management’s attention.
The job
As the prime mover for these investment projects you will have overall responsibility of all processes from the drafting of the very first business case – through approval of the project – and finally to planning and heading the project execution. The projects could involve a complex rebuild of an existing facility to produce new compounds for upcoming launches, or establishing of new laboratories for the increasing analytical demands or the construction of a new production facility.
You build up the entire project organisation with the right competences and resources. As overall budget responsible you follow-up at every stage of the project and make sure that the project expenses stay on track, just as you keep the end-product within scope, quality and schedule. You set direction for your project team that occasionally counts more than 20 profiles from all over the world. Further, you share knowledge with partners, project-owners and train the Project Managers in the various project management disciplines to make sure you move in the same direction.
Qualifications
You hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, one of the natural sciences or equivalent, preferably supplemented by a business degree. For at least 10 years you have built up solid experience with project management in an international environment and have a proven track record of successfully managing major projects of strategic importance.
You understand the business processes and can be a significant contributor to discussions of a technical and financial character. If you have experience from the pharmaceutical or biotech industry and knowledge of GMP, it will be an advantage. You set ambitious goals, and you know how to motivate and coach your project teams.
Strong analytical skills and business acumen are crucial components in this job, and you use your personal integrity and excellent communication skills to get your messages through. The international aspect of this job will take you travelling for 20-40 days a year and requires proficiency in English.
