About the department
Biostatistics & Epidemiology consist of approx. 130 employees primarily statisticians, statistical programmers and epidemiologists – distributed in eight departments. The area is responsible for statistical and epidemiological support to the development of medicine. It is a very dynamic and well-functioning area with many stakeholders within the Danish organisation and across borders to our sister departments in USA, India, Japan and China, and our outsourcing partners in India.
The Job
As a student assistant you will be personal assistant to one of our colleagues who is deaf and suffers from impaired vision. You will be assisting our colleague with taking notes at meetings, proofreading of written correspondence and deliverables in English, and assist with follow up on activities. You will also be responsible for organising for deaf interpreters when needed for meetings.
Qualifications
You are preferable in the beginning of your studies and it will be an advantage to have sign language skills. You should also be articulate in both Danish and English as well oral as written.
You are a team player, responsible, structured and continuously have an eye on details. You take initiative and like new challenges. You can plan and handle simultaneous tasks and are able to complete them, even when you are busy. You are engaged, positive and willing to actively contribute to the department.
We expect you to work minimum 5 hours and maximum 11 hours per week during working hours 9.00 – 16.00. The number of hours can be expanded if you are trained sign language interpreter.
