We are looking for a lawyer who can further develop our corporate governance practices and our contract management processes.
About the department
Legal Governance & Global Legal GSC is located in Novo Nordisk’s headquarters and is comprised of 6 lawyers. The department is part of Novo Nordisk’s Global Legal organisation which employs more than 100 lawyers at more than 20 locations throughout the world. We provide legal advice within a broad range of areas including company law, corporate governance, securities law, banking/financing, IT contracts, employment law, procurement and real estate. We are also responsible for compliance matters such as competition law, export controls, personal data protection and business ethics, for contract management processes, and for offshoring of legal services to Bangalore, India.
The job
One of our lawyers is rotating to the legal department in our UK affiliate and we are looking for a replacement. Your responsibility will be to further develop Novo Nordisk’s corporate governance practices with special focus on our Danish Annual Report and US Form 20 F, our corporate governance reporting and disclosure as well as our more than 80 affiliates globally, where you will be responsible for providing advice in collaboration with other important internal stakeholders. You will also be responsible for the election of employee representatives to the board of directors. In addition, you will get responsibility for our contract management processes, including our contract school, our contract management IT system, and our policies for drafting, approval and signing of contracts, and which are all processes that will allow you to work together with many stakeholders across the company on topics with global impact.
In handling the specific tasks, you will interact with key stakeholders within Novo Nordisk both in Denmark and abroad, as well as external counsels and partners. You will work closely together with and have independent responsibility for advising specific departments in Novo Nordisk with a large degree of empowerment. In addition various opportunities, both in Denmark and abroad, offer potential for further personal development. As part of the Global Legal group, you would also be involved with cross-functional Global Legal projects. Qualifications
You have a Master’s degree in law combined with 3-5 years of working experience from a law firm, company or relevant public authority. You might be admitted to the bar. Either your Master’s degree or your potential bar exam must be from Denmark. You should have strong communication skills in Danish and English (verbal and written), be organized and detail-oriented and take a structured approach to your work. You should be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work effectively in international settings. You have familiarity with IT systems. You are open to opportunities for rotations or assignments outside of Denmark.
