Job Description PURPOSE:
• Responsible for designing, implementing and managing assigned sections in national sales situational analysis and driving the key conclusions to the sub-national level.
• The Manager, Field Management Analytics is responsible for providing assigned Diabetes Sales Management (Directors of Business Support, VPs, ET and RBDs) with accurate sales analysis and recommendations that will drive sales performance and increase revenues. The Manager is responsible for developing presentations for key business challenges with clear storylines and concise conclusions/recommendations with minimal guidance.
• This position drives information sharing by identifying knowledge and skill gaps, creates and implement training curriculum for the RSMs (Field Analytical Team).

RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to the Senior Manager, Field Management Analytics. Interacts regularly with members of the Field Force Effectiveness team, Field VP’s, Regional Business Directors, IT, and key stakeholders. Other relationships include interactions with Marketing, Senior Business Development, and HR. External relationships include vendors and information technology developers. May manage interns and/or develop analysts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Sales Analysis:
• Analyze sales data for trends and accuracy. Identify and report unusual results to senior regional sales leadership and propose innovative recommendations.
• Become an expert in data visualization tools to allow for deep dives in new data sets.
• Conduct deep dives on specific topics and communicate key conclusions and recommendations as directed by Senior Manager.
• Support Associate Director Business Support in preparation for and execution of business review meetings with assigned sales Vice President.
• Work with manager to cascade national-level insights and conclusions to regional analytics managers/analysts on team.

Sales Planning:
• Collaborate with Senior Manager and Associate Director to develop sales cycle business objectives, insights and storyline for driving regional business planning process.
• Collaborate with Senior Manager to identify and communicate to regional sales leadership key long-term trends in retail sales channels and implications for Novo Nordisk.
• Drive strategic initiatives to address trends and dynamics in retail sales channel and individual regions within assigned geography.
• Identify, develop and implement best practices in the execution of regional sales business plans.
• Provide processes, improvements and insights to drive all major regional business initiatives.

Sales Reporting And Analysis:
• Collaborate with the Data and Systems team to develop sales performance reports. Transition the distribution of the weekly and monthly sales performance and activity reports to the data and systems team. Collaborate with the Data and Systems team to ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting to the field.
• Identify and implement projects to leverage regional business opportunities and drive business results.
• Participate in sales meeting planning processes (as needed), representing Field Force Effectiveness and providing any requested data or information.
• Provide ongoing business insight to support and help deliver sales results for regional sales leadership teams.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Approximately 25% overnight travel.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or related field required.
• A Master’s of Business Administration (M.B.A.) preferred.
• A minimum of 6 years pharmaceutical analytics experience required. Relevant consulting experience can be substituted as deemed appropriate.
• Advanced analytical skills.
• Experience with data visualization tools preferred
• Experience with pharmaceutical data, specifically Xponent, Xponent PlanTrak, data is preferred.
• Project management skills.
• Quantitative analysis skills.
• Statistical programming experience preferred.
